We’ve put together a short list of recommendations:

  1. Take a walking tour with a guide. Explore the main landmarks in their winter beauty, learn interesting facts about the city and its attractions, and visit the Christmas market , where you can warm up with a cup of “Svařené víno.” You can book the tour with us.
  2. 🎥 Visit the Feel Karlovy Vary cinema and watch a film about Karlovy Vary and the region. In just 15 minutes, you’ll discover more than 20 attractions and plan your next trip. The film is available in 4 languages and is screened daily every 30 minutes from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
  3. Go for a swim in the outdoor pool at the Thermal Hotel. Besides the heated pool, you can enjoy the sauna and relax in the hot thermal water.
  4. Attend a hockey game.
Even if you’re not a hockey fan, we recommend watching the local team HC Energie Karlovy Vary in action. Games are held at the modern KV Arena and offer an unforgettable atmosphere.
  5. Visit viewpoints in the winter forest.
In winter, Karlovy Vary transforms into a fairytale landscape . Climb to Diana Tower, Charles IV Tower, the Three Crosses viewpoint, enjoy a coffee at the Castle Tower, or visit the Deer Leap . The snow-covered forest paths leading to these spots are perfect for leisurely walks and stunning photos.
  6. Visit the Christmas House (Vánoční dům).
When else to visit it if not in winter? However, it is the only Christmas House in the Czech Republic open all year round. It features an extensive Christmas exhibition, a Christmas museum, and a teddy bear museum. We recommend visiting in the evening when the festive lights of the garlands create a magical atmosphere.

Karlovy Vary in winter is a mix of coziness, activity, and magical atmosphere!
